Robusta was founded in 1960, and from the start the company is producing technical woven fabrics. In the first few years Robusta produced for the carpet industry, but for more than 35 years also for civil engineering, on shore, off shore and military fields of work. Over the years Robusta has specialized in the manufacture and supply of heavy duty and high technology woven fabrics with high tensile strength and excellent uv-resistance.

This experience has led to the development of fabrics for the concrete block mattress and for the supporting layer of the filter mattress for the Eastern Scheldt Storm Surge Barrier.

Robusta has a very modern weaving factory where weaving skills of various industry’s can be combined.
